New Unit Trust (Mutual Fund) Consultant Passed the CUTE exam

4:45pm Shahrim the new Unit Trust (Mutual Fund) Consultant called me. From his happy voice, I knew he has passed the exam. He came from Melaka this morning to take the unit trust exam in Informatics PJ SS 2/67. So berkat his sacrifice, Allah passed him.

He was not able to attend the proper official CUTE Tutorial as the class has been fulled and there was no additional class. Thus, we met last two weeks to discuss on the calculation part of the exam. We spent two hours at McDonald Ayer Keroh. Alhamdulillah even though without attending the proper class he passed.

Since I ventured into Unit Trust (Mutual Fund) business, I’ve read quite a number of books which even though small to some of you but I considered it as big compared to during when I was in ‘corporate’ world. This Unit Trust (Mutual Fund) business has transformed me and many others in many ways.

So I’ve finished reading Copycat Marketing 101 by Burke Hedges last week. And it is not bad at all to share this info to the public. As one of my great teachers say you got to do 3 things in life 1. Learn 2. Practice and 3. Disseminate. In Malay it means belajar, amal and sampaikan. You’ve got to do this 3 things concurrently. If you leave  any one of them, success won’t come to you. So I’ve learned, slowly practising and now going to disseminate.

The gist of the book is that we (majority of the people) live in the world of copycat. The question is what or who do you copied? The definition of SUCCESS has changed. Do we realised it?

Old System for Success is

New System for Success is

(also called the power of leverage)
T ~ time invested
E^2 ~ exponential growth

Unit Trust (Mutual Fund) Business Opportunity Seminar Last Night

In Cheras Office last night 22-Aug-07, about 20 people came to look for the opportunity to build a successful business in unit trust industry with the leading Unit Trust company in Malaysia and with the no 1 bumiputra agency in our company.   • In unit trust industry, we the consultant are like the passenger of a vessel travelling in the ocean. The bigger the vessel, the lesser we will be affected by the turbulence. What this mean to you is that if you join the biggest unit trust company, InsyaAllah any turbulence to the industry you will not be affected very much. For example when the government encourage banks to merge. Many of the small banks dissapeared.
  • If you found out that there is one popular and successfull burger stall in your area and you would like to copy their business and open the new burger stall next to them. Do you think the stall owner would like to teach and guide you to become successful burger stall owner. If he don’t ’santau’ you pun.. that considered OK. Now think, if you join this unit trust business, we will encourage you and guide you from A to Z. We already established a matured and proven system to run our agency. Apart from training by the company, we conduct our agency meeting and training on every Monday 9am to 10 am, every Wednesday 5pm to 7pm for training and Business Opportunity Seminar on 8pm to 930pm and every Saturday 9am to 12:30am.

A balance between Agency Building and Personal Sales for Unit Trust (Mutual Fund) Consultant

Early in the morning 8:20am one of my new prospect agent Huz already arrive at Public Mutual Bangsar to meet me as he missed our Unit Trust (Mutual Fund) business opportunity seminar in Public Mutual Cheras last night (http://seminar.myunittrust.com) . The discussions and interview take a very long time until 11:30 am. Then we eat and eat till 12:15pm. Next Iswan came on 1:45pm to collect his Unit Trust (Mutual Fund) New Consultant bags. We discuss till 2:45pm. I went to meet client till 3:30pm at the most prestigious tower in Bangsar. Drink carrot juice then move on to our office in Cheras to meet new agent to sign his application form. 5:30pm chow back home for kenduri kahwin at my surau.

Quite a hectic day. I am still searching for a system where I can manage these agency building and personal sales effectively. My agency is growing at an average rate of 3 new agents sign-up weekly.
