Sebenar-benarnya dalam kebanyakan bisnes, tak kiralah MLM ke, unit trust ke, insurance or takaful ke atau jual goreng pisang, burger, contractor rumah dsb, memang 95% akan gagal.

Banyak sebab-sebab yang menyumbang kepada statistik ini. Salah satu sebab ialah kita terlalu mendengar kata orang dan kita ikut membabi buta sehingga duit kita habis tapi bisnes tak jalan-jalan. Unit Trust Consultant career can be in small business or big business. It depends on how you like it to happen.

Small business is about doing the business until you die. You must be there to earn an income. Whereas big business is about creating a system until you don’t have to be there but the business still run.

Many people stuck in the small business mindset and they said they are the businessman. Only a few yang ada BIG business mindset.

So in unit trust business, the small business is about focusing only on your personal sales. And the BIG business is balancing between the personal sales and the group (team) sales.

Do you think it is possible to achieve your dream of financial freedom and time freedom while working for someone like working for the government or GLC or multi-national companies or the banks etc. Well, I’ve seen from my team, quite a number of people they start charting their destiny while working for someone.

They initially search on internet about home-based business, then fine tuning into unit trust business and further their search into Public Mutual business opportunity. Do they quit their 9-to-5 job immediately. No. Only a few that have the brave to quit on they Day 1 they see me.

Imagine, you can start building your DREAM in about 1 month to set the foundation. Then if you love the job, you will do it bersungguh-sungguh. Trust me, insyaAllah you will generate an income of 5 figures a month within a year of doing the unit trust business  while working with your existing company. Ultimately, you can quit from the company. But remember don’t make enemy with your friends and bosses in your existing company because they are one of the best prospect for you to grow your unit trust business.

One of a good example of the quote above “If your vision is BIG, all other problems appear small” is if you can remember the time where Tun Mahathir is our Prime Minister. We hear or read less problem compared to now. Why? Because at that time people focus on the vision. The solid vision 2020. All other problems appear small

Now, because we are lacking of our vision. We saw more problem arises. In the news, on paper, TV, blog etc. All problems. We are more focus on problem and forget about our vision.

So in doing business, if we have a big vision, all the problem become small. Problem of lack of knowledge and skills become small. Because if our vision is to become successful then we will find ways on how to improve our skills and knowledge.

If we don’t know how to do power presentation, we will find the ways.

If we don’t have the time, then we will make up for the time.

If our upline don’t bother about giving training to us, then we are the one that will give the training.

We must take charge of our own life. We cannot dependent on others. We must chart our own destiny.

If your boss scolded you, then tomorrow you still come to work. Where is your pride.

So no 1, you must have your vision. You must have your goal. And take action on it.

I have shared the selling tips by Joe Girard during our Jan 24, Brainstorming.

Joe Girard is the top salesman in the US for 12 years consecutively. Dia ni dah masuk dalam Guinness Book of Record Top Salesman. Average sehari he sells 6 unit of cars (retail).

The most memorable things that I boleh ingat reading his book is:

“The name of the game is service. Service, service and service”

This remind me about the 3 rules of buying property: location, location and location.

What it means by service, service, service?

Maksudnya kita hendaklah bagi bagi service yang terlampau sehingga client tak sampai hati nak beli atau ambil perkhidmatan dengan orang lain.

Why is that some of our unit trust clients cannot stick to us alone. Most of the reason is that our service tak sampai ke tahap seperti apa yang dikehendaki oleh client kita.

Therefore to close on the first sales tu senang lah. But for the second repeat business, kalau service kita hampeh, maka client pun tak nak lah sign dgn kita lagi.

No 1 is that you must move your leg.

No 2 open your mouth.

and No 3 is not compulsory but it will be good for long term if you have it. You must have blog that can sedut the client as well as potential unit trust agent.

If you have all the knowledge in the world on unit trust, sales, marketing etc… If you don’t move your leg to see your client. You are gone man.

If you have move your leg to see your prospect but you do not open your mouth to tell them the benefit of investing in unit trust. You are gone too man.

If you have close sales year after year, you don’t share with people, write it in your blog. Then your knowledge is gone.

By sharing and writing not only your knowledge is disseminated but you actually building a pipeline or a machine can attract clients and potential unit trust consultants to you.

I am terrific on how many people get to know unit trust and the business through the blog that I have wrote. And many of them have join our unit trust team.

I still remember when I just started doing unit trust business 5 years ago, I feel awkward a little bit. Of course la sebab kita baru tukar bidang from IT and engineering into unit trust.

Over the time when we have develop the skills and the confidence, we started to like the business. And when we experience sendiri betapa senangnya nak cuti tanpa perlu jumpa boss. We like the business even more. Plus, cuti panjang pun dapat gaji, lagi OK.

When the business grow. Your unit trust agency grow. Your downline pun grow. Their income grow.

Lagi best, when I see my downlines success in achieving their goal. Lagi lagi lagi suka.

From Medan to Sibolga then to Barus, back to Sibolga then to Nias Island. This is the route that me and other 7 brothers spent our 41 days together in Indonesia starting 20 Nov 2011.

We are being sent to this world only for the test of “Siapakah yang paling takut (takwa) dengan Allah”. Allah will test us 24 hours a day until we die and meet our Allah. Whether we are young or old, whether we are man or woman, whether we are rich or poor, whether we are boss or makan gaji.

Not only that, Allah will test us on the condition or environment that He creates. Whether happy or sad, whether hot or cold, whether we are sick or healthy.

Success disisi Allah is not about rich or poor or sick or healthy. In richness, who can obey the commandment of Allah and the sunnah of His Nabi saw, then he is successful. In poor also, if he can perform the order of Allah and follow the steps of His Nabi, he will also succeed.

U can see Nabi Sulaiman a.s. succeed but Firaun failed. They are both rich and have kingdom but why one OK the other KO. Because Nabi Sulaiman a.s. obey the order of Allah but not the Firaun.

Our houses, our cars, our food and our dress, our wife, our children, our business/job are all the necessities. We need them. But these are not our maksud or objective. Then what is our objective?

You knew it already right. It is to “sempurnakan iman kita sebelum kita mati”. And with that insyaAllah we can answer the questions in our grave: who is your Rab, who is your Nabi, what is your religion. Then inside our grave Allah will send the air and fragrance from the Heaven. Our grave will be wide open.

In Padang Mahsyar, Allah will give us protection under the Arasy of Allah and let us enter the Jannah without hisab (resurrection).

Imagine if Allah hisab us in front of all the people from Adam till Qiamat. Habis lah kita. Malu.

Then we must hope that Allah will sent us to Jannah without hisab. In Jannah there will be no work, no business, no toilet etc. All are nikmat. No more cold calling, prospecting, service unit trust client. No…

If your eyes always love to see beautiful woman, then you must know that in the Heaven there is a bidadari yang tercantik. Lebih cantik dari semua bidadari dalam syurga. Bidadari yang biasa pun, kalau air ludah dia jatuh kat lautan, maka semua air laut akan jadi manis. Kalau selendang dia jatuh kat dunia ni, nescaya semua lelaki tak boleh tidur, tak boleh kerja….Asyik dan mahsyuk teringat akan selendangnya.
