I saw a wall paper in The Manhattan Fish Market. It displays the history of the restaurant. Thus it urges me to write a history on myunittrust.com blog.

It actually started when I took a VSS from Telekom Malaysia in 2005 in May. After 4 months travelled the world I go back to Malaysia in Sep 2005. When I came back my VSS money nearly finish. Raya Posa dah dekat. Kerja tak de.

I ask around not to find another job. But to look into business opportunity. One of my close friends have proposed that I try takaful and unit trust. So I did took takaful licence during my career in TM. And try to promote it to TM staff at that time. The response is weak.

Then I took a unit trust exam and passed. Alhamdulillah. I still remember because of desperate, I only take a 2-hour training with my upline and dash to sell. I manage to close about RM200k on the first month of my venture into unit trust business. Not bad right.

When I do a post-mortem, why is that you can close without much knowledge on unit trust. It is the WANTS.

Remember that when you were at Form Five in school. We think taking an SPM exam is difficult. Yet we managed to get through. Some of us with 8As. Then we enter university. Again while at First Year in the university, we cannot believe that we can finish our degree program. Some of you have confidence and some have not. Yet, we get through again.

The psychologist said, remember the success that we have experienced. Think of the time that we achieved the biggest success in our live. Copy the preparation that we did. … how much you want in 2011. Whether you like it or not, 2011 is coming. Whether you are still single, or still have not achieve your New Zealand trip. Time is clicking non-stop. Time wait for no man including woman.

Imagine if your salary is RM3000 per month. If you divided it by 30 days. It will be equivalent to RM100 per day. Do you think you are worth only RM100 per day. The Indonesian labourer can get as much as RM80 per day doing contract work like build house and so on. They don’t have a degree like you. They didn’t go to university like you.

Why the difference is only RM20 per month. Your brain is better than them. This is the real world. They all don’t have degree but their income are more than the majority of us the degree holder. Why?

You must have heard people say product is 10% and attitude is 90%.  I totally agree with that. Then why you say you must know your unit trust product inside out.

When your attitude is 90%, there will come a time that you want to know more about your product. Don’t get me wrong here. We must know our product bukan sampai kita jadik financial analysts.

Robert Kiyosaki and Azizi Ali always said that you must do what you love. And love what you do. If you love selling and marketing unit trust then you must know your product. How come people say they love their wife but they didn’t know what their wife wants, hates etc.

Similarly, how come people say they love selling unit trust and yet they know nuts about it. What they love may be the money that unit trust business can give…

So, if you love doing unit trust business you must know your product well. By knowing your product well, you will gain confidence. When you are confidence insyaAllah it will be easy to explain and convince your client to buy.

Your unit trust client and your prospect also will see you as an expert in unit trust funds rather than do the lip service.

It is interesting NOW that Malaysia insyaAllah will hit the all time high KLCI right.

Looking at my BB bloomberg mobile (my client is impress with this), now (at the time of writing) the KLCI is 1508.24.  tak sampai 20 point, KLCI will create history again. Do you want to be part of the history or you just look at what is happening.

You must have the attitude, the skills and the knowledge. The best thing about unit trust business is that the product knowledge factor contributes only 10% to to your success in selling unit trust. The attitude tu la yang banyaknya.

I have just installed CAMS (for those who are not yet Public Mutual consultants, CAMS is Clients and Agents Management System) in my new notebooks running Windows 7. I wonder why it pop-up an error “run-time error 75″. I call IT Helpdesk.

The solution is to run CAMS by clicking right button on CAMS icon and select run as administrator. You got to do the same for CAMS Download.

Kisah benar, two days ago I met my client nak pergi Haji and ask him about the wasiat whether he has wrote the wasiat or not.  He said he just sign up with company XXX and pay a deposit of RM200. O..ooo..ooo.

My brain start working,  I asked him can I see the documents. He said the total fees is RM1200.  Alamak banyaknya nak kena bayar.  So I terus suruh dia print borang wasiat Public Mutual dan tulis kat situ jugak. Sebabnya, my client ni is a Public Mutual Gold member. Sikit habuk pun tak payah bayar.

Pada hari itulah hari yang paling bahagia untuk I, kerana telah menyelamatkan wang client mengalir keluar sebanyak RM1200. This value is equivalent to one netbook macam Acer aspire one or Toshiba.

  • to help Msia becoming islamic financial hub
  • currently 7 GLC value of RM500b
  • EPP try to encourage foreign fund to come in.
  • Asset Mgmt in Singapore is much larger than Msia even though their population is much lower
  • EPF contributor that has more than RM120k can invest 50% into fund
  • Msia is the 3rd largest islamic finance in the world
